MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

May 17 – 21, 2017

Signed, sealed, and delivered!  Mark your calendars for next year’s West Coast Ukulele Retreat, the most fun you can have with your ‘ukulele on!

Staffing is still in progress, but you can count on a return of Dave Egan’s amazing Recording Studio, jumping evening entertainment with Gerald Ross’ Flea by Night Band, more fabulous workshops with our friend from across the pond, Phil Doleman, and more of Jim D’Ville’s ‘ukulele antics.

And, because you asked for it, there will be more opportunities for song circles and “impromptu” jam sessions with Rhan Wilson & Rick Zeek, songleaders extraordinaire from Santa Cruz.

A lot of folks asked for an extra day before the retreat and we’re looking into that as well, for Wednesday, May 16. This will give us an opportunity to offer a couple of intimate Master Classes with our lead instructors on the morning of the 17th.

WARNING: With our retreat (and the Mental Health Professionals, best Flash Mob audience, ever) Asilomar is completely booked for that weekend, which means that it may be difficult, if not impossible, to pick up extra rooms if we need them for folks who delay in registering. (FYI: For the last two years we have had to pick-up  8 “extra” rooms.)

So, to that end, I am extending last year’s “early-bird” registration fee of $589 to folks who mail me a $100 deposit/person toward registration by October 20, 2016. You can print the Pre-Registration Deposit form, here. (Please note: this is pre-registration for the retreat only.  If we are unable to secure a room at Asilomar for you, your deposit will be returned.)

That’s it for now!  We’ll keep you posted as the staff for 2017 gets finalized. And don’t forget to practice!
